trick or treat

This has been one of my favorite years for trick or treating. Brian walked the neighborhood with me, the first time ever! It was a perfect night to go out. Karlee went with a couple of friends. Bailee also went with her friends. I guess they are too cool to go out with their brothers. She is probably the cutest devil I've ever seen.

How about this nerd? She has been talking about being a nerd for months. When she had her last ortho appointment, she made sure wearing her headgear, that's right it's her old headgear, wouldn't be a problem with her braces. Everyone in the office could not believe she was going to wear it. No one had ever asked about doing this. In fact, Bailee said at one house the woman thought it was real. That she really did have to wear it. Kind of funny! Before she put the headgear on, Bailee said the actually felt like a nerd.
Don't mess with this ninja! I think those daggers were the best part.

Then this sweet cowboy. After I gave him some whiskers, he was sad. He wished his whiskers were real :0(. He rode that horse of his all but the last couple of blocks. We were out trick or treating for over an hour and a half. Not bad for a four year old.

McKinzie and Adam stayed home for the night. Kinze handed out candy for us. A light bulb just came on...that's why Brian was able to walk with me this year. Kinze stayed home!! Thanks Kinz!

Shortly after we left the house we ended up walking with our neighbors from across the street. That's Grace, who helped us carve pumpkins, and her brother Colton. I was able to get to know her parents better.

This is the reason we were out trick or treating for so long. There is this cool house in the neighborhood that was totally decked out for Halloween! Brian and I saw it the night before when we were out walking our dog. I wanted the boys to see. I think Carson got a little spooked. I know I'll never go this extreme with Halloween decorations, but I don't mind enjoying someone elses hard work :o).
I hope everyone had a great Halloween!!

Is it bad that I think it's funny when my kids get freaked out at well-decorated houses on Halloween? Baby L has that same skeleton suit Adam is wearing. Love it! Carson is so adorable.

Your kids are so creative with the costumes. My boys are the same things every year. Oh well. :o)

That house is awesome looking! We'll have to go trick or treating in your neighborhood next year. Ours was a yawn...

Baby Adam is adorable!

So great. Looks like you guys had a great time. I wish Shon would come out with me. Maybe next year, I will just make him. We only had like five the whole time I was gone.
