last ward swim...ever

The Friday before school started we held a Ward Swim.  We had over 35 people in the pool!  Two weeks ago only two families came.  Big difference.  Everyone had a great time.  Even Bailee got in the pool with us.

This will be our last ward swim though.  We are moving to Chicago. Brian starts with a new company tomorrow.  We all have mixed emotions about the move.  The more we think about it the more excited we become.  Except Carson, he really doesn't want to move.

We are going to miss these two cuties the most!!! Thankfully McKinzie has already found the half way point for us to meet.  Adam is going to be so upset about us moving.  I have truly loved our Fridays together.

first day of school

I still can't believe my baby started 2nd grade today.  He was very nervous.  His teacher is Mrs. Alsup.  She seems very nice.  There are a couple of kids in his class that he already knew.  I'm sure that helped him to settle in.
Mason started middle school today, 6th grade.  He was the most nervous for this day.  I walked him in and helped him get his schedule.  We looked over his schedule together to help him make sense then off he went to class.  I'm been thinking about him all day.

Karlee was very excited!! She looked great as always.  She's eager for her birthday next week and  has high hopes to start drivers ed.  I hope this year will be great for her.  She has huge expectations.

Bailee is home with me.  She's working part time and...that's it.  She's planning on going to BYU-I in January.  She'll have a blast at college and having roommates.  It'll be such a great experience for her.

another swimmer

When we got back from the reunion, the first week of July, we were back in the pool.  I was able to talk Adam into wearing wings.  I slowly coaxed him out, away from the steps, and he loved it!! This is as close to swimming as I need.  Now he has lots more freedom.

McKinzie forgot to leave Adam's swimsuit at my house.  Luckily being 3 underwear isn't a big deal. LOL

fun with grandma

After the reunion these three stayed in Idaho with Grandma for two weeks.

Waiting for the 4th of July parade to start.
Grandma helped the kids mow the yard.  She told me she got blisters on her knees and hands because it was awkward.  Such an amazing grandma!

Karlee spent lots of time with Abby.  The boys spent the night with cousins on both sides of the family.  I think they all had a great time.

I MISSED THEM!!!  I LOVE THEM!!!

home sweet home

While we were in Idaho I decided to run past my parents old house.  My in-laws live about 2 miles away.  Plus I hadn't seen the place since the funeral. Then last minute Karlee wanted to run with me.  I wanted to go visit alone.  Then she said she would only run a mile with me then head back.  :)

The clouds were directing me straight to their home.  The morning was beautiful! As I got to the corner by their house I just walked so I could take a few pictures. It looked exactly the same!  There was even a white truck parked out front, just like Dad's.

It was comforting to see their garden growing in the exact same place.

The run was beautiful! The air cool and refreshing.  It made me miss living in Idaho...and my parents.

cozumel port

Our other port was Cozumel.  First we went on a submarine and went down, down, down. Over 100 feet down.

We then found a taxi and told the driver to take us to a cool beach. Success! The water was clear and warm.  The fish swam super close.  It was a little freaky.

The whole cruise was a success.  We relaxed, (although it took me a few days to get the hang of it), ate, and soaked up the sun.  We loved it!!

progreso port

Our first port was Progreso, Mexico.  It was a very warm morning.  Bailee is resting while we wait for our tour to some Mayan ruins begins.

After a quick tour of a few ruins Bailee and I went for a swim with minnows. The pool was very refreshing.

Bailee was the only one doing back flips off the rocks.  LOL

After our tour we went to the beach to find something to eat.  The food was delicious!  But we got tired of all the people trying to sell things.  They were selling cookies and treats to movies that weren't even out on DVD yet to checking your blood pressure.  Odd...

I thought this picture above looked fake...but cool.

Some of the best chicken fajita tacos I've ever had.  Soo good!!
