Date Night

Brian and I go out on a date every Friday night. If there is a conflict, it's Saturday night, ALWAYS. When he was traveling to Toronto every week, we decided that we had to do something to keep our relationship strong. There were times neither one of us wanted to go out, but we went anyways. For our family to be strong, we needed to be strong.

More often than not our date is dinner and a movie. We both love movies. With Brian's new calling as Bishop I know many of our dates will be church related. They already have. Last Friday night we attended a fireside. Then on Saturday we helped drive youth from our Ward to a fireside and dance in Denton. We didn't need to stick around to chaperon so off we went to a movie and some ice cream. We had a great time.

There was nothing playing at the movies that we wanted to see on Friday, so we went to a Rangers game. We had great seats. We have sat in four or five different sections, but this was definitely our favorite. We sat in the Lexus Club section. The strange thing was, there was a server to attend to the section. WOW! That was new for us. We didn't order anything. The great part was that people didn't keep getting up to go out to the concession stand. Not once did that happen. It was a nice change.

Now here is the purpose of my post. It rained, hard. We had been watching the clouds roll in for awhile. Then lightening hit. It started to sprinkle, I wanted to stay. We paid good money for our seats. I think it was the top of the 7th inning. Then it rained and rained. We hung around for about an hour and finally we headed to our car. It was just sprinkling by then, but no news if the game was going to continue or be called because of rain.

The rain didn't dampen our spirits! Now I know what section I want to sit in the next time we go. Maybe we'll get another game in before the season is over.

We need to be better about our weekly dates. Those seats sound great!
